If for whatever strange reason you didn't know I saw Britney Spears last night, I should tell you that I saw Britney Spears last night.

And I didn't think it was possible to love someone as much as I did Britney Spears before the concert... however it is possible.

She looked hot, it was loud, so much energy, our seats were great, and wonderfulness. Love that lady so much.

Woman knows how to put on one hell of a show.

Also, apparently, according to my dad, was talking in my sleep, or in his words, "having a complete conversation with myself" about the concert in my sleep at 3am when he woke up to go to the bathroom.

I'M BACK!

Holy crap, I honestly have no idea if Saturday was the worst day of my life, or the best.

First, on Saturday morning, me and my dad wake up at 3am to catch a 5am flight to NY, and then we get there on time and all that good stuff. It was so hot, though. Disgusting out. Mmhmm, and we spent all that day on a freakin' unairconditioned train, which was torture, pure hell, and we had a two hour break at Cony Island for lunch, where we literally standed in the hot sun for an hour and a half for a hot dog.

Fun, huh? Yeah, definitely not. I'm not even going to get into the story of the people we were on that train with. But definitely not very enjoyable.

But things quickly changed when it was over and we were on the air conditioned train back to Long Island City where our hotel was. I showered and got ready for RENT, making a lot of wierd squeaking noises in the process.

So, after that, me and my dad went to the city around.. 7-ish. I refused to eat, feeling too excited and crazy, so we just went to the theatre and putzed around for a bit, and walked away to Starbucks where I changed my mind at the last second because the line was too long, and I wanted in that damn theatre.

So, we walked back, and waited on this long ass line just to get in, but it was fast.

So, we go in, take our seats, I looked at the cast list for the night, praying we wouldn't have an understudy and whatnot, like, I know Antonique had been filling in for Tamyra several weekends lately, and I don't like her one bit. Buuut we had the full cast!

We take our seats, the same row we sat in last time, and wait for the show to begin.

And once Adam came out on that stage, it was crazy. So surreal, like, I never imagined that I'd see them performing! Crazy.

Here're my thoughts of the show :)

-Rent.. the title song was glorious. Holy shit. When I saw Adam in those plaid pants... damn. Anyways, and Anthony! He sounds the exact same way he did on the '96 album.
-Glory.. Wow. I was actually expecting Adam to do his high note when he says 'Glory', but he didn't. Doesn't matter. Though an usher came in and sat people down, and if you know that theatre, anyone in the aisles will block your view from the stage if you have an aisle seat, which we did.
-Light My Candle.. the booty shake dance. All I gotta say. I've heard about it, but I never thought it was anything like that! Cracking up after that entire song, just so you know. I was sad that there was no handcuff dance on Adam's part, but it's all good.
-Tango Maureen.. Me, never having seend Anthony's Tango live, was amazed. His dancing was humerous. He kept on twirling and doing wierd ditzy things that made the song perfect. Though I didn't get to see Merle, and saw Tonya again, I thouhgt the two were very cute togheter.
-Today 4 U.. This was my first time with Justin as Angel. We had Telly last time, but Justing was ten times better than Telly and Ano, and maybe even Wilson.
-You'll See.. Funny that this one is a highlight.. buuut when Adam goes "What happened to his heart..." he walked up to D'monroe, who plays Benny, and knocked on his chest, and put his ear up to it, making a sad face, that was genious.
-Out Tonight.. Tamyra has improved greatly since the last time I saw her!
-Another Day.. holy cow. God that was amazing. I had goosebumps the entire time!
[i'm probably gonna go outta order here, just so you know]
-Santa Fe.. Anthony was just doing little cute dances during it.
-La Vie Boheme.. Anthony wins at life. He was great. It's hard to believe how old they are, though! Ha, and you can see his boxers half the time during that song, too.

-Without You.. I honestly can't think of anymore adjectives to use, other than amazing, or fantastic, but this song falls under both of those categories.
-Take me or Leave Me.. Okay, the first time I saw Nicolette I thought she was really good and cute, but now, she kinda got on my nerves. Her voice is very.. loud? Shreiky? You get it.
-Goodbye Love.. It's what the gods listen to, it was that amazing. Adam was literally crying.
-Halloween.. Anthony sounding just like he did on the cd again.
-What You Own.. Honestly, I don't even know how to describe a song that the two people who we traveled 1100 miles to see. That one song made the whole trip worth it right there.
-Finale A.. Adam and Anthony were dancing around Troy [collins] really cutely. It was adorable!
-Your Eyes.. Adam can seriously sing. And cry at the same time. Probably his best song of the night.

And that's really it. The show was fantastic, even if it wasn't their last few performances, and I'm glad they're extending for those you get to be able to see it. Definitely try to make that trip! It's worth every little penny.

And then comes stage door! They set up the barricades differently, and surprisingly enough we were like, one person away from the front. Kinda in the middle of two.. you'll see in the pics, but I was really scared, hoping that they'd both come out. So first D'Monroe comes out, then Nicolette, then Tamyra, then Anthony, which was when I started getting angsty hoping Adam would, too, and there and behold, a minute after Anthony, Adam comes out of the door, being all cute and stuff.

I got both of their signatures and kinda sorta met them both.. I handed them the playbill and said thank you, to which they replied, 'no problem' and 'your welcome'. Adam started talking about the movie somewhere along the line, too, saying how it was what it was because of Chris Columbus and all that. It's all I really heard. Oooh, Adam also lit someone's candle! It was funny. I sorta got a pic of it..? You'll see.

And then, the next day we saw Legally Blonde, the whole cast minus Christain, who plays Emette.

The show was really good. Like, really. So if you're around a tv on September 29 at 1, watch it on MTV, or tape it or something. It's totally worth a shot.

But the seats in that theatre suck. Terribly. We bought balcany seats since it was kinda a last minute thing, and I didn't really care where we sat, but there's this huge light thing in your way, and so many empty seats in the mezzanine. It was stupid, so we moved up to the first row in the balcany, which was better, but we had to like, lean up to see the stage. It was a lot better than our second row balcany seats which we originally bought, I mean, the stage was literally blocked, and there was no way to see it! It wasn't terrible, though.

But the overall show was really good. Laura Bell Bundy was so cute! And Orfeh!! That woman has the best voice I have ever heard. No lie.

:]

Anyways, onto pictures, shall we?

Also, all these pictures are in order. :)
tons of pictures, 50+-ish.Collapse )

That's about it! My dad has more on his camera, so I'll post those once he gets them to me, but I think you get the idea!

Hope you all had a good weekend, aswell!

And I'm out.
Niiiight!
